The Weight Is Over...

What is Integrative Weight Management?
The Integrative Weight Management at MAC encompasses diet, fitness, behavior and stress management that leads to lasting lifestyle changes. Our facility has an in-house team of a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN), certified personal trainers, a yoga instructor, a licensed clinical therapist, a massage therapist, a chiropractor, and a medical doctor that works together collaboratively to make lasting changes possible. Unlike other approaches to weight management, here at the MAC we understand the complexity and barriers to weight loss. We know that true change is not a one step process and takes commitment and dedication. Successful weight loss isn’t achieved over night nor is it done through a FAD diet, elimination of an entire food group, or without support. Allow our team to show you the way to your new, healthier and happier future.

What Are the Benefits of Meeting with a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist?
Dietitians are food and nutrition educators and experts. A dietitian understands the science behind nutrition, whereas most self-proclaimed nutritionists do not. Dietitians will help you distinguish facts from fads. They have spent the most time learning and studying nutrition than any other health care provider. Dietitians receive either a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nutritional sciences, complete at least a 1,000 hour internship, and pass a national registered dietitian exam.
At the MAC our dietitian can guide you towards your weight goals, while also help you prevent and management chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and high cholesterol. The dietitian will develop the best plan for you based on your unique and individual needs. She will assess what you eat and drink, weight loss and gain history, food allergies, past medical history, physical activity, lab results, body fat percentage, body metrics and more.
